Week of May 5: Wolf Combat, Input Mapping, and Bat Enemy

New Features

Combat System

  • Shepherd throws stones that inflict damage to wolves
  • Added wolf hurt and dead states
  • Rate limit shepherd throwing stones
  • Wolf moves away when hit by a rock

Input & Controls

  • Improved input mapping
  • Shepherd can throw both stones and food
  • Show relative firing intensity on shepherd

New Content

  • Winter wolf level
  • New bat enemy
  • New game over screen
  • Add flag to tornado level

Polish

  • More tornado improvements
  • Improve superbark display
  • Finished level page
  • Trees spawning with y-sorting
  • Diamond collision shape on sheep for smoother movement

This week brought a proper combat system with stone throwing and wolf reactions. The winter wolf level and bat enemy add variety, while the new game over screen and input improvements polish the experience.
