Week of March 15: Throw Mechanics, Objectives System, and New Levels
New Features
Throwing Mechanics
- Shepherd throwing control implemented
- Thrown food attracts sheep
- Food collection animation
- Display how much food shepherd has left
- Throw system uses relative velocity for more realistic arcs
- Thrown objects blocked by walls
Objectives System
- Created objectives classes for level goals
- Added game objective checking logic
- Play sound when objective completes
New Levels
- Sawmill level - rebuilt from scratch
- Sorting level - brand sheep to matching destinations
- Fire level - shepherd needs to save sheep from burning barn
- Goats level - goats can kick, extend the level
Visual Updates
- Farmers with improved shotgun (distance-aware damage)
- Farmer closes gate automatically
- Improved game over and level finished screens
- Show player health in hint bar
- Collectible sacks with food
- More cosmetic improvements throughout
Bug Fixes
- Fix calling dogs - dogs respond reliably to shepherd’s call
- Controller support for all inputs
